Overview
Our client faced serious allegations of involvement in Multiple Armed robberies across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, allegedly using firearms to steal high-value vehicles. Despite being identified by victims and linked to the crimes via a SIM card, the charges were dropped after the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reviewed the evidence.
This case highlighted our ability to uncover critical evidence and challenge flawed identifications, even where there is SIM card evidence.
The Allegations
Our client was charged, alongside two other individuals, with committing Multiple Armed robberies in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. The offences involved the use of firearms to steal high-value vehicles. The Prosecution relied on victim identifications which were obtained through VIPER (Video Identification Parade Electronic Recordings). Prior to the crimes, a SIM card was also allegedly used to communicate with the victims.

- The mobile phone evidence confirmed that our client was in a completely different county when the alleged offences occurred.

Our strategic approach ensured that the Prosecution’s case was thoroughly discredited.
The Result
The CPS reviewed the evidence and discontinued the case, after the first trial was aborted.
