Possession with Intent to Supply 

Possession with intent to supply is an offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. The prosecution must prove that you had possession of a controlled drug and intended to supply it to another person. Intent can be inferred from factors such as quantity, packaging, cash, phone evidence or other surrounding circumstances.

Penalties depend on the class of drug, the quantity involved and your role in the alleged supply. For Class A drugs, the maximum sentence is life imprisonment. Sentencing guidelines in England and Wales assess culpability and harm, which can result in substantial custodial sentences even for first-time offenders.
